We are very excited to announce the newest version of our Virtual Designer. The Varatys Virtual Designer 2.0 is coming out this spring. As an existing client you have the option of upgrading. Below we’ve listed the major changes and upgraded features.
iPad/Android Tablet Accessible:
Since the introduction of the iPad and Android tablet we saw a high demand for an HTML version. This will be a huge advantage to your consumers and sales staff. Consumers will be able to access your Virtual Designer on the go. Your sales staff can be out in the field assisting customers without the hassle of a bulky laptop.
Introducing Featured Products:
On the new Virtual Designer Landing Page your company will be able to showcase an unlimited set of featured products. This allows the user to be introduced to your products at the very beginning of the process.
Showcase Your Product Catalog Like Never Before:
In the Varatys Virtual Designer 2.0 we have gone great lengths to study, learn, and improve how to showcase your products.
Users will have the ability to fully interact with your catalog on multiple levels. They will be able to view your product families, scroll through each item, and customize a scene applying our rendering technology.
Whether you have a large selection of products or just a few, it is fully customizable and we offer several default sets of products to round out your selections.
New Room Scenes:
We have updated the majority of our room scene selections. We will offer a brand new gallery of rooms that are classic, warm, rustic, and modern.
You will still have the ability to provide your own room scenes or a mix of both. However you want to customize it, we will work with you to ensure that you have the best showcase possible.
New Category & Room Descriptions:
Included in the Varatys Virtual Designer 2.0 is the ability to name each room and write a room category description. This will allow the user to feel more connected with the room scene and their overall vision of their project.
For example, this could be your kitchen category description: “From gourmet to country, there is something for every style. Choose an image to start designing your fantasy kitchen!”
You will have the ability to customize the text to your personal specifications. We offer many opportunities to maximize your product catalog to its fullest potential.
New Product Detail Page:
When the user chooses a product family they will be brought to our Product Detail Page.
Gone are the days of small product swatches. We have included a large product detail shot to showcase your product to its full potential. You may also provide a detailed description highlighting its features and benefits.
The user will also have the ability to swap collections without leaving the page.
Featuring the Benjamin Moore Paint Palette:
In the Varatys Virtual Designer 2.0 you will have the option to have Benjamin Moore paints complement your product line.
You will have the option to choose from the following paint palettes: Affinity, Classic Colors, Color Preview, Historical Colors, Color Stories, America’s Colors, Off-White Colors, Pottery Barn Colors, and Color Trends.
Having the Benjamin Moore paint palette accompany your family of products will bring a more tangible vision to your users. We want to add every opportunity to highlight your product line and help the user make better buying decisions.
New Visualizer Design:
Our new Visualizer Page is the crème de la crème of the product showcase process.
This is where your product will truly shine and take on life. The user will have the ability to click and change your products into a scene.

The Varatys Virtual Designer is an innovative way to showcase your product catalog on your company website. Currently our Virtual Designer is a Flash based application. Since the introduction of the iPad and Android tablet we saw a demand for an HTML version. This transition will be a huge advantage to your consumers and sales staff. Not only will your consumers be able to access the your Virtual Designer on the go but your sales staff can be on the sales floor or out in the field assisting customers without the hassle of a bulky laptop.
Instead of taking our current version and simply changing it to HTML we have studied our Virtual Designer and documented vital upgrades that needed to be done. We have added a whole new user interface bringing a more modern sensibility to the experience. You will be able to click and change and/or drag and drop a surface color. Below is a prototype image of what it will look like on the iPad!
