Varatys introduces social media to our Virtual Designer 2.0!
Two weeks ago we published our Virtual Designer 2.0 demo on our website’s Try Me page. We are very excited to announce another update that introduces social media links! We have implemented Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest links on the visualizer page.
Like us, you are probably hard at work trying to gain a bigger online audience. Social media plays a huge role in product awareness, branding, business development, and lead gathering. Having a virtual designer embedded on your website will allow your customers to undergo a more interactive product awareness experience. It will also allow your customers to create a digital buzz for you by sharing their projects on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest. By sharing their projects they will give their friends and followers a link to your website that has the potential to gain more leads and traffic.
Twitter: Twitter has an estimated audience of 88 million people in the United States per month. Your customers will be able to tweet a direct link to your company’s virtual designer. Depending on the size of their following it could potentially be shared with hundreds of people.
Facebook: Facebook has been a leader in the social media movement and it just keeps growing. It has an estimated population of 148 million people in the United States per month. Your customers will be able to share a small image of their designed photo and a link to your company's virtual designer. The post will be applied to their wall, this will allow for comments and likes from their friends.

Pinterest: Pinterest has been moving up the social media ladder at record speeds. Currently it has an estimated user base of 5 million users in the United States per month. It has the unique ability to allow users to create theme based idea boards. Those idea boards are shared with other users to foster a community of idea sharing. Users can “re-pin” images that lead back to the original link (i.e. your company’s virtual designer website link) or they can “like” images and leave comments.
Out of all the social media sites, Pinterest might have the highest potential for lead gathering. This is based on the concept that users create specific boards for individual projects (i.e. re-doing the façade of their house, redecorating their child’s room, and/or remodeling their kitchen). It is very likely that when a user designs a photo tailored to their specific design aesthetic they will “pin” that image to their project designated Pinterest board and share it with their followers.

Go to our Try Me page and start tweeting, sharing, and pinning your designed photos today. Let us know what you think!
